i can not be forsaken because i'm not the only one KATSA GWENTH SPECKHART Hey there! It's myth with a new character, played by Anna Speckhert. I'm currently 18 years old and live in the central timezone. This application is complete. basics GENDER: Female AGE: 18 BIRTHDAY: October 18th RACE: Human, Felivan SEXUALITY: Stright LEVEL: apprentice relations MOTHER: Lydia Speckhart FATHER: Jon Draked BROTHER(S): N/A SISTER(S): N/A SPOUSE: N/A CHILDREN: N/A PET(S): friesian horse named Darkness, black wolf names Nala OTHER: King Roland Speckhart (uncle) abilities SKILLS:Elemental Magic, Illusion Magic WEAKNESSES: Restoration Magic SPECIAL ABILITIES: N/A appearance Blessed with her mothers looks, Katsa is a rather pretty site. She has long, dark hair that flows in natural waves. She normally braids her hair back to keep it out of her way. Her face, spotted with freckles, is one that is not easily forgotten. This fact is not only due to her well structured bones, but also the rare color of her eyes. With the left one a icy shade of blue and the right one a ivy green, once you see her you are sure to never forget. Her lips have a reddish tint to them, only making her cat like face that much more unforgettable. As far as her body, she has a very athletic build. This is from the countless hours she has spent training. She likes to stay in very good shape. Despite being a lady, Katsa normally normally dresses like a man, in a pair of breeches, comfortable leather boots, and a tunic. She finds it much easier to be her that way. personality Though she cares a great deal about other people, she isn't the kind you would want to have a heart to heart with. She isn't very good at talking to other people, as she speaks very bluntly. Not only that, but she has a rather big temper, often getting frustrated with the smallest things. If you are one of the rare ones she opens up to, you will find that she will protect you with her life. That's just the kind of person she is: hard to get close to, but once you do, you will have a friend for life. With that said, it is no surprise that Katsa doesn't have too many friends. She is scared to let others in, something that she gets from her past. She also isn't the fondest of using magic at all. Due to her uncle showing her first hand how corrupt magic can be, as well as the things she has done in the past, she thinks of her magic as nothing more than a last resort. She would rather fight with her daggers than magic any day. history In the far kingdom known as Felvar, Katsa was born the first and only daughter of Lydia Speckheart. Her said father was Lord Giddon Speckhart, husband to her mother. So that's what everyone thought. In truth, however, Lydia has another lover she was going to run away with. They were in love, but Jon Draked was a traveler, not a noble. He was not suited to marry the sister of a king. So, running away was their only option. Until her bother, Roland found out about it. Lydia was engaged to Lord Giddon, and soon to be wed. It was a mach her brother himself had come up with, and their was no way he would her her throw it away. So, Roland had Jon killed, and a heart broken Lydia married Lord Giddon. She soon found herself with child, and knew it wasn't possibly Giddon's child, though she said nothing. The child would be her personal connection to Jon. So, she did what she had to so, and when she told Giddon she was with child, he thought he was to be a father, so she let him and everyone think so. Katsa was born, the spitting image of her mother (for which she thanks the gods). When Katsa was the young age of two, her mother and Giddon were killed in a tragic fire and Katsa was taken in my her uncle, the King. Roland wasn't what one would call a nice king. He was fair, in his own eyes, and he got things done, so no one had too much of an issue with him. But he treated Katsa like his own, providing for her as a father should. That was, until the accident. It was one day when she was six at a court dinner. They had foreign nobility visiting, and one of the knights that came with them took a fancy to her. He wouldn't stop looking at her, and when he came to sit by her he said "Those are some fancy eyes you'e got there" and placed his hand on her leg. His iron grip prevented her from moving and the young Katsa started to panic. She had heart stories about drunken knights doing some very un-knightly things. It was in that moment of sheer panic that the knight dropped to the floor, screaming in pain and grabbing his head. Katsa, unsure of what was going on, felt a serge of power in herself, and her icy green gaze remained locked in the knight. Soon a crowd formed around them, and Riffin, her cousin yelled at her, demanding to know what was going on. She turned her eyes to him, and the knight stopped screaming, alive but unconscious. Katsa soon felt very wary passed out in her cousins arms. Though Magic was very uncommon in their lands, it had been heard of. In fact, the practice and mages themselves had been weaned out of the kingdom, as a former king feared that much power. He had all the mages in their land killed, and the practice itself outlawed. And many demanded that the young Katsa be put down like the others, fearing her magic. Roland, playing the caring uncle, said that he would never do such a thing to someone who was like his own daughter. But in his mind, he was thinking of a million different ways he could use his nieces new found talent. He had his secretary find him some information about mages and found that the power she has used was Illusion magic, something very useful to him. Katsa, on the other hand, was not as happy with this new found skill. All the other children, who she has always played with, even grew up with, ran away at the sight of her. Due to the principles of the kingdom, they were taught to fear magic at a very young age. The only person who would treat her like a human being was her cousin, who was five years her senior. It wasn't long before her uncle started calling on her, making her read all he could have found on this illusion magic. At first she thought he was trying to help her control it, but soon found out he wanted her to use it. He also had her trained with the other pages, wanting her to learn fighting skills as well. When she was seven he sent her out for the first time, to a lord who refused to pay his dues. He told her to make him feel unbearable pain, just to make sure he would never forget the lesson. She did as she was told, despite her inner self not wanting her to. The Lord, was rather arrogant, mocking that the mighty king sent his young niece and a handful of solders to do his bidding, but he soon found out that she was all that was needed. From then on, word spread about the young witch with the green and blue eyes. Soon her name became known and feared through the kingdom, and anyone who saw her would be stricken with fear. So, king Roland got a fancy new toy, and soon he started to treat her more like a prized hunting dog rather than a human being, much less his niece. That went on for years, until Katsa reached the age of ten. She hated what her uncle made her do, and was sick of it. Her cousin, Riffen was her only friend, and she confide everything in him. She was constantly telling him that she wanted to be just like a bird and be able to fly far away from this place And one night, Riffin helped her get her wish. Giving her a horse and a map, he helped her sneak out of the castle and saw her to the edge of the city. With many tears, they parted ways, he promising that once he was king, he would welcome her back with open arms. So, Katsa rode until she reached the end of their kingdom and into the next. It was there she found out that there was more to her magic than the corrupt thing that her uncle had her doing. She met a young maid, newly married, who helped her rest and told her of a place called the tower where people like her were welcomed. he maid drew her a new map, this one to an actual destination. After weeks of traveling, Katsa reached the tower, and was soon started to train as a student. As she grew, so did her powers. One day, when she was out in the woods, she came across a young she-wolf who's eyes were as green as her own right eye. The two bonded, and Nala and Katsa's friendship began. It isn't the kind of bond a owner has with a simple pet, and if someone were to ask her, she would deny that the wolf was a pet, but she was a friend. And that was something Katsa herself needed. At the age of 17 Katsa became an apprentice, and has spent the last year training with her Aracane Master. |
