It's TEH with a new character, played by Ryan Gosling. I'm currently 18 years old and live in the Dutch timezone. This application is complete. basics GENDER: Male AGE: 24 BIRTHDAY: May 4th RACE: Endol SEXUALITY: Heterosexual LEVEL: Mage/thief relations MOTHER: Chantal Molyneux née Umbranox FATHER: Vicente Molyneux BROTHER(S): Marcus, Frederick SISTER(S): Iris, Fleur SPOUSE: CHILDREN: PET(S): OTHER: abilities SKILLS: Illusion, alteration WEAKNESSES: Elemental, alchemy SPECIAL ABILITIES: appearance At five feet nine Steffan stands quite tall for an endol. His skin is fair and his hair, kept eternally short for obvious reasons, is also quite so. He is thin and lean, owing to many years of theft and travel. His eyes are a pale blue, a trait owed to his mother. For one of noble birth he dresses quite simply and one would consider him a peasant in an instant. A master in terms of disguises, he will sport a moustache on one day and dark hair the next. personality Though not particularly skillful in any areas that would allow him to earn an honest living, Steffan is an extremely potent student of the Illusion school of magic. It is said that he can turn himself invisible; the disappearance of doors and passageways is also frequently associated with the Traitor's nightly visits. At first glance he is tenacious and charming, resorting to showing only the sides of himself he considers worthy of attention. Deep down, however, he is ever fearful, ever looking over his shoulders. It is this paranoia that has cursed him with a deep rooted wanderlust and fear of commitment. history Born near the centre of affairs of far away Endoli, Steffan is a scion of the affluent house of Molyneux. The last to be born, he was often overlooked by his relatives, viewed as expandable in a way. Despite this, he was afforded the same education and respect as his siblings. He was particularly close to his eldest brother, Marcus, whom he considered a childhood hero of his. Marcus, being the one to succeed his father upon the day of his death, was trained a knight and an officer in the Endolian army. Realizing his aptitude for magic early on, his father hired him a tutor. Vicente wanted an ace in the hole and a son blessed with magic sure seemed like that particular trump card. He proved particularly skilled at illusion and alteration, yet managed to hide his talent for the arts from his immediate relatives. Though generally stable and at peace, the Molyneux household knew its fair share of political differences. His brothers held ever changing views of society - and its rulers. Consistency, however, was found in their opposition to the king and monarchy. His sisters and his aunt, more or less, supported the status quo and were quite verbal about this. Iris, the eldest, often named Marcus a traitor. Vicente kept out of the conflicts at his dinner table, thinking the matter would die down eventually. Everyone knew, of course, that they would not. On one particularly unfortunate day Vicente grew ill, a slow, yet potent sickness spread through his body. Bickering ensued on who was to succeed the lord upon his death. Marcus demanded his seat, this much was sure, and made significant attempts to wed his sisters to relatively destitute nobles in the kingdom's east. Iris, being particularly brutal in heart and soul, would retaliate through different means. Four months after the lord was stricken, the illness took him. He died at night and news of his passing was withheld until morning. All was quiet until the man had been interred in the family tomb. A forced peace, for all that kept the house from slipping into madness was naught but simple tradition. Yet Marcus, poor Marcus, was first to raise his fist and claim his father's lands. He was found dead the following week, crushed below his horse. Frederick was taken by an arrow the next day. Knowing he was next, Steffan made off with all he could carry. That is to say - all the most expensive things he could stuff into his pockets. He lived the life of a thief after that - landless and lawless - serving no masters and respecting no man's authority. Meanwhile, back home, his sister settled into her father's mansion, styled herself lady Molyneux and had named him a traitor to his house. Steffan left Endoli after that, not wanting to take the risk of ever being made to return to his ancestral home. Ever since leaving home he has proudly called himself "the Traitor", doing so while stealing from high lords in Avarnia and Van'ostgar. |
