His voice echoed in the great room, deep and demanding. The Arcane master was expecting quite a bit from his apprentice today and was in no mood for attitude from her. He wasn't suppose to be dragging his outside life into his work but he couldn't help but get more and more agitated every day that passed since he ran into his sister Lily and had her distraught without him being able to help her. He felt useless in that aspect and she'd acted like she never had before with him, it was amazing how little a thing could ball up in Eric's brain and cause him to loose focus. Yes, he was a Arcane master and had lots of experience controlling himself but even he was feeling a little off today. Rubbing his temples he yelled out again at Adia, watching her almost recoil in annoyance at his demand for precision. "You need to hurry." His voice was firm, but calm as he watched her hover over the bird he deliberately injured badly for the sake of her lesson. Eric could feel tell it was dying, the energy it was giving off was slowly fading away, she was losing it fast. The arcane master watched without emotion while the bird silently died, his annoyance bubbling up even more. "Too late now. You wasted your energy for nothing. It's dead." He said this knowing she knew too, as he stood with his arms crossed and an annoyed look in his eyes. Watching Adia as she got back up from kneeling over the victim she was suppose to be healing he glared at her for a moment and then parted his lips, "Your not nearly as focused as you should be." he stated this so matter of factly before turning his back on her and walking toward the other end of the room, staring blankly at the windows surrounding the vast room. His tall frame towered over the young woman's and he used this to his advantage most of the time, looking down at her and pretty much snarling when she did something wrong. She needed to be taught the right way, and this was through lots or practice. He wanted precision and he wanted it done quickly.
Turning to face her, he stared from across the room into her eyes without an ounce of regret in his decision. "You have this potential to do something well, so why don't you? Restoration could come in handy when trying to save someone's life. Might as well learn to use it for that reason. " He left it at that, they would come back again and try it again sooner or later. Eric could tell he was pissing her off more and more, like himself she wore her emotion out for everyone to see and faster and faster he was pushing her closer and closer to the edge. He narrowed his eyes, debating on what to do now. He'd already had her working on trying to get a grip on the elements which he had been very good at. He analyzed her negatively on those training's too, complaining she wasn't in control enough. Now she wasn't quick enough for his liking while trying to heal someone. He was getting more and more annoyed with the whole aspect of her. She didn't want to listen to anything he had to say, so he made things harder for her. He was convinced if she didn't wise up soon he would pretty much be back tracking with her, and that was not something he wanted the Masters to see. Eric didn't want to look like a fool for one, and two he wanted to actually make use out of the apprentices he would be teaching. He'd started at the bottom with this young girl and thought she needed to be quicker and smarter than she was acting as of now.
His icy blue eyes locked onto Adia's and he forced his illusions in on her, which he knew she was weaker in. The room filled with a thick dense fog and he moved closer to her. He knew it would be hard for her to see, and that was what he wanted. He wanted to get her uncomfortable. That was another thing he liked to teach her. She needed to stay calm in every situation. "Why don't you try to push me out of your head." He said out loud, though his voice echoed off the walls so his position wasn't to be given away. Maybe she'd get him this time, hit him, attack him, trick him. Something. At this point it wouldn't take much to break his concentration on her with everything that was going on in his head. The last time he'd done this to her she'd broke down and really had gotten mad, which was everything he didn't want her to do. "Hopefully you've learned from the last time." He said almost rudely.
Watching her intently he moved around the room, keeping quiet and forcing a state of panic into her system to throw her off even more. "Let's go Adia, I could have killed you by now." He said, inching closer to her with a devious gleam in those eyes of his.
